The University of Waterloo (UW) is situated in the heart of Waterloo, Ontario, approximately 110 km west of Toronto. Its primary campus spans over 400 hectares adjacent to Waterloo Park and Uptown Waterloo, with additional satellite campuses in Stratford, Cambridge, and Kitchener.
As of fall 2024, UW enrolls around 41,000 full- and part-time students—including about 34,200 undergraduates and 6,300 graduates. The campus hosts a diverse international community: roughly 15% of undergraduates and 40%+ of graduate students hail from abroad, representing over 80 countries.
